Inicialmente um casal, Jonathan (Guitarra) & Pauline (Bateria), formada a mais de 10 anos em Los Angeles, em 2010 Alpine Decline decidiu que era hora de mudanças. Uma aquisição de peso para a cena underground chinesa.
De lá pra cá, criaram raízes em Pequim, lançaram 2 álbuns com o selo indie Maybe Mars, rodaram o país inteiro dentro de uma van, junto com seu filio, Rolland de 2 anos, e em seu ultimo álbum, "A vida é um suspiro" (Life is a Gasp), trouxeram a bordo o baixista/produtor Yang Hai Song (P.K.14/Dear Eloine) para gang.
